The most beautiful roads in the world in 2022 have been chosen.

A trendy café, a restaurant with a culinary concept that attracts crowds, unique shops where you are sure to find local specialties, secret historical places… Knowing the world’s most important roads can optimize a traveler’s chances of having an experience of true discovery . According to Time Out, Montreal’s Wellington Street has everything you need, right down to being named the coolest street in the world.

The most beautiful beaches in the world, the countries with the best value for money, not to mention the most instagrammable and instagrammable sites… In tourism there seems to be a non-stop flow of different rankings. While we can at least give these rankings credit for helping us pinpoint the destination for an upcoming getaway, they don’t always ensure travelers have one of those essential experiences the place is famous for. It is still necessary for travelers to make the right decisions and most importantly go to the right places!

Back in 2021, Time Out Magazine introduced a new type of listing that aims to be more effective in that sense. The listing does not indicate a country or even a city, but rather streets where the visitor will surely find pleasure. The famous travel guide titled its list “the coolest streets”, but the interest of the concept goes far beyond “cool”… The methodology is efficient: more than 20,000 local people were surveyed, from the United States to Australia and South Africa, a very large number geographic range corresponding to the range of events and addresses discovered by the brand.

Based on these decisions, the magazine’s experts then identified the arteries in each of their countries that are really worth including in an itinerary. And, of course, the selection is renewed annually to reflect the current state of each destination’s urban fabric – restaurant openings or store closures make and break the life of a neighborhood. The proof: The corner of Nørrebro in Copenhagen, which came first on this list last year, has been replaced this year by Værnedamsvej (in fifth place), a neighborhood of the Danish capital that has been known for ages but has kept its soul intact has , with natural wine bars, cute little shops and cheese counters.

So come first ranking, which spans 33 streets this time (up from 49 in 2021), Time Out recommends Montreal’s Rue Wellington for its concentration of restaurants and bars. You can order great cocktails and delicious sandwiches – the best in town. For Bangkok, it’s Yaowarat (surprise, surprise), known for its many food stalls and authentic Chinese food. And while there are countless beautiful streets to explore in Singapore, Everton Park – one of Singapore’s oldest housing estates – has received top accolades for its colorful shophouses, trendy cafes and historic street murals that line the street.
